I am ashamed to admit that at first I didn't origanlly know about Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I was intruduced to it through a friend who was a Visionary last year.

However, by the end of the first meeting I was hooked. 

One of the perks to LLS is that you get to meet Heros of Leukemia and Lymphoma.

I met last years Hero as well as her father.

After the treatment the Hero was able to continue having a normal teenage life.

Yet the father still seemed slightly affected by the experience. 

LLS is an up-lifting organization that helps anchor patients and parents after a cancer diagnosis. 

Even though I don't have any personal connection to Leukemia or Lymphoma

I wanted to help parents and family members going through deep water.

That is why I decided that I wanted to be able to help and educate patients and their families.
